Accessibility statement for the East Neuk Centre Trust website
East Neuk Centre Trust is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible. We want everyone to be able to use this website easily, regardless of ability, technology or circumstance.
We aim to make the website accessible in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA, where reasonably practicable.
How accessible this website is
The website has been designed with accessibility in mind. This includes:
- clear and consistent page structure
- meaningful headings and link text
- sufficient colour contrast for most text and interface elements
- text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- keyboard access for core navigation and interactive elements
- alternative text for informative images
The website should work with commonly used assistive technologies such as screen readers and voice recognition software.
Accessibility testing
The website homepage has been tested using Google Lighthouse, which reported an Accessibility score of 89 at the time of review.
This automated testing helps identify common accessibility issues but does not cover all aspects of WCAG compliance. Manual testing has not yet been carried out.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some accessibility issues may remain. For example:
- automated testing tools may flag warnings that require manual review
- some colour contrast or labelling issues may exist in less frequently used areas
- third-party content and external websites we link to may not meet the same accessibility standards
We are committed to addressing accessibility issues where it is reasonable and proportionate to do so.
